As the days dwindle down to Halloween, Americans are making preparations for the spookiest day of the year., which is exactly what it sounds like, recently looked at its sales data from the last ten years to figure out what the most popular candy is in every state in the U.S.

It turns out that Texans really love Reese's peanut butter cups.

Texas wasn't alone in its preference to this peanut butter-milk chocolate combo. Reese's was also most popular in Kansas, Oregon and Wyoming.
Starbursts, which was most popular in Texas last year, was second-most popular this year, and Almond Joy came in third.

So maybe pick up a bag or two of Reese's at H-E-B if you're planning to give out candy this year.
