Organizers of the San Antonio Coffee Festival have announced details for its 2019 offering, set for Saturday, January 5.

A year after large crowds caused vendors to run out of java early, leaving attendees grumpy, the coffee fest is set to return to La Villita. The seventh annual event will include expanded areas to accommodate large crowds. Admission also will be limited to ticket-holders for specialty coffee flights, which include five tastings.

Artisans from more than 25 roasters will brew more than 80 types of coffee during the event.

If you want to guarantee your coffee fix, you can upgrade to a VIP ticket, which gives a "more exclusive opportunity" during the first hour of the festival. Organizers also encourage coffee-drinkers to buy tickets in advance since admission will be limited and is expected to sell out.

In addition to steaming cups of joe, attendees can enjoy live music, fresh food and shopping opportunities within the La Villita grounds.

VIP ($20) entry will begin at 10 a.m. while general admission ($7) opens at 11 a.m. The festival will conclude at 5 p.m. (though more popular vendors sold out hours before closing time last year). Day-of tickets will be $10, though they are not guaranteed.
