Steve Mahoney is getting ready to introduce his newest bar, Lilly’s Greenville, at the historic St. Paul's Square
later this month.
The "good solid neighborhood bar" will offer classic drinks and a beer menu — with final menu details to be announced later this month — as well as interior seating and a back patio area for patrons.
“There is new momentum in the area, and we are happy to have been asked to be a part of it,” Mahoney stated Monday afternoon, in a press release.
Located at 1160 E Commerce, the new bar will join other area food entertainment establishments including Smoke: The Restaurant and Toro Kitchen.
The bar's namesake was inspired by Lilly May, grandmother of a Blue Box employee, who lived in Greenville, Mississippi. This is Mahoney's fifth bar to open to San Antonio, following Francis Bogside, Blue Box, George’s Keep and Hanzo.
Lilly's Greenville will be open daily from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.
