No real shock here, but hopes for Duran Duran's San Antonio stop, originally scheduled for December 1 but nixed due to keyboardist's Nick Rhodes' ear infection, have officially come undone. The band announced it has no plans to reschedule it.
If it's any consolation, the '80s boy band ne plus ultra has completely wiped its touring schedule from the official site, which probably means they won't be rescheduling with those smug bastards in Dallas, either.
Let's all just take a moment to sigh wistfully at that photo up there and think of what might've been. Sure we got the New Kids, but it just isn't the same, somehow.
For those fans/people who enjoy concerts purely for their irony value who already bought tickets, the press release explains:
"Tickets for the San Antonio show will be refunded at the point of purchase.
Ticketholders who purchased tickets online through Ticketmaster.com will automatically receive a credit to their credit card. Ticketholders who purchased tickets in person at a Ticketmaster outlet or the Majestic Box Office will have to return to the point of purchase with their unused ticket in hand for a refund.
Should you have any additional questions regarding refunds, please call our Box Office at 210.226.3333."
