RIP Rock Bottom Tattoo Bar

comment

After weeks of canceled shows and speculation that had me crawling around on a bridge guardrail trying to see if the roof really had caved in, Rock Bottom Tattoo Bar has officially closed. The venue's former MySpace page has been renamed Chaos City Show Info, and a message posted on the page reads, in part:

It was a great two years, and we will keep you posted on our future projects! This page will now be used to promote various shows by various promoters and clubs until we find a new place or a new project. Until then, See everyone out on the town supporting our strong scene. Together we can make it even stronger! We love you all!

Check out the video above for a glimpse of the glory days: Qui featuring Jesus Lizard's David Yow performing at Rock Bottom in 2007. There's one fewer venue in town that will host these kind of shows now, and the Ten Eleven is probably going to get twice as many noise complaints.
