The remastered version of 1971's Jimi Plays Berkeley is out on DVD and Blu-ray. The new version, remastered from the original 16mm film, has 15 minutes of added concert and documentary footage not found on the original release and it includes "Machine Gun," "Hear My Train A Coming," and a 10-minute version of "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)." As a bonus, the DVD/Blu-ray includes the complete second set of the show given at the Berkeley Community Theater on May 30, 1970 (with Mitch Mitchell and Billy Cox), less than four months before his death (that complete second set is also available on CD and 12" vinyl).
