HRVRD singer Jesse Clasen gets some help from the audience. Photo by Jaime Monzon
I caught HRVRD singer Jesse Clasen as he was walking to stage and asked him to take a picture with me. He got this weird smile on his face, but was very nice and complied. The band has been gaining more and more popularity since releasing From the Bird's Cage recently, and for very good reason.
HRVRD started off with album opener and new video "Black Creme". And it completely blew up from there. The audience got a mix of their new music as well as their prior album The Inevitable and I.
Lead singer Jesse grabbed a megaphone, jumped off the stage and walked through the crowd singing through it while everyone sang along with him. He then jumped back onstage, thanked everyone and went into an almost 10 min long verions of Inevitable's "On With Disease". I had shivers the whole time.
