Jackson, Mississippi-born Zac Harmon can go toe-to-toe with any Delta blues cat on earth, but it’s his voice that really makes the difference. Harmon can effortlessly go from smooth R&B crooner to smoky, rough wailer (literally, as he incorporates reggae elements as well), and is always backed by a solid band that keeps the groove moving. At 4:30 p.m. he’ll be headlining the annual Fiesta Blues Heritage fundraiser organized by the San Antonio Blues Society, which will also present the winners of this year’s Sam Baird Scholarship, encouraging young musicians since 2008. The music starts at noon with The After Midnight Blues Band with Ginger Pickett, followed by The Palacios Brothers, and Larry Trub & Perfecto Deluxe (with Sauce González, Al Gómez, and Henry Rivas from the West Side Horns). $12-$15, noon-6pm Sunday, Sunset Station, 1174 E Commerce, frontgatetickets.com.
