Green Day to Release '¡Cuatro!' Doc

Good news for Green Day fans: the documentary film ¡Cuatro! will be released September 24th via iTunes, Amazon, Qello and on physical DVD. ¡Cuatro! promises to “pull back the curtain and take fans inside the world of Green Day,” offering live performances from their U.S. tour dates and behind the scenes of the recording of their trilogy, ¡Uno!, ¡Dos! and ¡Tré!

"Over the last year while we were recording our trilogy, we posted multiple clips every week so fans can see parts of the recording process of ¡Uno! ¡Dos! and ¡Tré!," said bassist Mike Dirnt. "¡Cuatro! brings our fans one step closer by giving them even more access and revealing what it was like for us to make these records."

In the teaser for the documentary, directed by Tim Wheeler, Billie Joe describes the recording process as, “very venereal, very up close and personal.” Now, who doesn't want to see that?

And in case you didn’t know, Green Day’s American Idiot (the musical) will be at the Majestic Theatre Dec. 13 & 14 for three shows only! Tickets are currently available through
