Nick Long and Travis Hild of Lonely Horse
SA duo Lonely Horse are trying for a spot on Brooklyn's most excellent Afro-Punk Fest, occurring August 23-24 this summer. Now in its tenth year, Afro-Punk strives to represent the "open-minded, non-conforming and unconventional" at the "epicenter of urban culture inspired by alternative music," according to their website. The 2013 festival featured Danny Brown, Death, Big Freedia, Chuck D and Trash Talk among an enviable supporting crew.
For the 2014 festival, Lonely Horse hopes to bring their arresting and spiritual rock to Afro-Punk's unreleased lineup. You can nominate the band here.
