Nina Diaz of Girl in a Coma
RSVP for a chance to win free admission to Nina Diaz's show on September 6, part of the Tobin Center's inaugural weekend. Held at the Tobin's outdoor River Walk Plaza, the gig will be Diaz's debut of her new solo material and five-piece band, who've been honing their chops in Austin and on the West Coast this summer.
Joining Diaz, Lonely Horse and David Garcia will open. Hot off a battle of the bands to win a spot in Brooklyn's Afropunk festival, Nicholas Long and Travis Hild of Lonely Horse are gathering some incredible momentum for an LP release in September. A member of the Austin Music Hall of Fame, David Garza has been pumping out pop-sensible, energetic rock 'n' roll since his '91 LP Just Say Love.
Tickets have sold out, though the RSVP page at Do 210 allows for a tentative, first-come, free admission at the door.
