Sing and mope-a-long to The Smiths (Marr-Moz Experience) The Cure (Boy's Don't Cry) Joy Division/New Order ( Substance SATX) tribute bands in the comfort of other heavy-hearted individuals wanting to get their groove and woe on.

Real-life rivals, Morrissey of the Smiths and Robert Smith of the Cure battled it out in a contest of who could out-sad each other (although the conflict obviously stemmed from a duel of hair-dos, teased octopus manes typically don’t get along with meticulous pompadours.) But mud-slinging aside, the two bands created some of the best gloomy pop songs of the '80s, proving that their legacy is never-ending.

After the death of Joy Division's lead singer Ian Curtis, the leftover members did the tasteful thing to do and formed a entirely unique band under the name New Order. Instead of Joy Division's  characteristically icy post-punk, New Order broke in their dancing shoes for Synth driven new wave.
