Buttercup to Host Wild 'Ambulatory' Concert at the Empire

San Antonio's Flaming Lips – do I say that because Joe Reyes looks very much like the Lips' Wayne Coyne? Yeah, duh – will be hosting an "ambulatory" show at the Empire Theatre on Thursday, May 26.  

The group who has captured the liberal importance of Henry B. Gonzalez via their anthemic "Henry B. Gonzalez," which goes "Henry B. Gonzalez! Henry B. Gonzalez! Henry B. Gonzalez!" alongside their impressive catalog of indie rock tunes, will host a concert that draws on the absurdist comedy of Andy Kaufman. Here's what the press release from the Empire had to say about the evening:



This intimate night of guided exploration and music promises to turn the normal concert experience upside down and guarantees to be unlike any other performance in San Antonio this year. No high-heeled shoes.
