Rising into the tsunami wave of music festivals in Texas this year is the fifth annual River City Rockfest. The day-long event is a celebration of old meets nü, in the realm of rock and metal with performance including everything from the '80s hair metal dads, Def Leppard, to the dissonant chord progressions of metal core veterans Norma Jean.
The Memorial Day Weekend-outdoor concert will feature 20 bands across three stages for what most likely be a smorgasbord of sweat-soaked, black, band T-shirts, and you know, moshing.
To get you ready for the pit, here’s a breakdown (pun intended) of all the bands playing:
Def Leppard
Godsmack
The Offspring
Papa Roach
Three Days Grace
The Pretty Reckless
Taking Back Sunday
Buck Cherry
In Flames
Nothing More
Black Stone Cherry
Rival Sons
Norma Jean
Fozzy
Dorothy
Kyng
Badflower
Goodbye June
Wage War
