If you’ve been been making even the slightest attempt at checking out the local music scene here in San Antonio (if you haven’t done anything to support local musicians, art and culture, please step that shit up, OK? Thanks – it’s not that difficult, BB), then it’s safe to say you’ve seen Harvey McLaughlin in one or a few capacities: playing in his projects The Hares or Harvey McLaughlin and The Bottom Feeders, playing solo, or accompanying the two-piece powerhouse Lonely Horse for a few of their select shows. His music is rock ‘n’ roll with elements of punk rock emerging at just the right pockets in his songs. If you check him out at his album release show — which also features local rockers Topo Chica and Whatever? — you’ll be guaranteed a look at arguably one of the best rock ‘n’ rollers in all of Saytown.

$5-$8, Sat Feb. 24, 10pm, Limelight, 2718 N. St. Mary’s St., thelimelightsa.com.
