Heavy, brooding and slightly psychedelic, Big Business is a two-piece (in the past, a three- and four-piece) heavy rock ‘n’ roll band that meld elements of punk, metal and indie art-rock in a way that’s unique to many metal acts in the genre. The band was signed to Hydra Head Records earlier in their career, a label that’s nurtured post-metal bands like Isis and Russian Circles, which makes sense on account of their full, atmospheric sound that the band is able to match with heavy grooves and grittiness. Also on the bill are noise-rockers Buildings and local sludge-rock favorites HÖTZI.

$10, Sat March 3, 9pm, Limelight, 2718 N. St. Mary’s St., thelimelightsa.com.
