Darkwave Band The Soft Moon Is Perfect for Crying and Dancing

Darkwave is back from the grave, and it’s devouring its moody victims in increasing numbers of late. If you’re not exactly familiar with the genre darkwave, it’s basically just a sadder, slower new wave, or a gloomier post-punk.

At first listen, The Soft Moon sounds like a mix of post-punk/nu-metal outfit Orgy and early Nine Inch Nails. There’s definitely an industrial element but enough melody and enough interesting rhythms to make it danceable and sort of poppy. If you like crying and dancing, you’re in luck; The Soft Moon will let you do both.
