This free, live music bonanza should prove to be the perfect cure for your post-Fourth of July hangover. For starters, the Lost Project, one of the best live acts in the local music milieu, brings its melting-pot sound, drawing on pop, punk, ska, reggae, progressive rock and alternative rock. We are also, as always, excited to catch Midnight Cleaners, with its lo-fi bedroom rock vibes.

Rounding out the impressively eclectic list of performers for this mini-Fest are Baldemar (solo jangle-pop), No Hitter (alt-punk), Flowershop (heady garage-rock), and War Stories (lo-fi alt-rock). All in all, this bill should make for an evening that may prove, depending on the number of pickle shots you decide to undertake, pretty darn memorable.

Free, Thu July 5, 9pm, Hi-Tones, 621 E. Dewey Pl., (210) 785-8777, hitonessa.com.
