The San Antonio Music Showcase lineup, as well as venue details, came out yesterday. For the sixth straight year, the event, put together by a group of sponsors including the Current, offers up a one-night glut of local music talent in an impressive variety of genres — from hip-hop to conjunto, from indie rock to darkwave, from country to punk, and just about everything in between.

It’s all going down on September 29, on the St. Mary’s Strip and beyond.

This year’s Showcase, a local music lover’s dream as well as ideal time to become a local music lover (!), will take place simultaneously at 17 venues and will feature more than 75 San Antonio bands/DJs.

For those unfamiliar with the set-up: it’s nice and easy. Buy a wristband (a mere $10), get access to all 17 venues. If, for some crazy reason, you only want to go to one venue, the single-venue admission price is $5.

Dig the full list of performers below, and head on over to sanantoniomusicshowcase.com for venue specifics and to purchase wristbands.
