If you dig the warm, buttery tones of Nick Drake and Jose Gonzalez’s voices and the playful melodies of early Iron and Wine, then you’re going to fall in love Peregrino.

Hailing from Mexico City, Jairus McDonald (vocals, guitar), Eric Miller (guitar), Jose Grageda (bass) and Ian Vazquez (drums) weave a rustic, indie-pop sound that’s equally vintage and current, and why they’re not selling out packed arenas is beyond me. Get ready for these dudes to assume spots on all of your playlists.

Free, Fri Sept 14, 9:30pm, 17619 La Cantera Pkwy. Ste. 204, therustic.com.
