A few weeks ago we reported that Mahone returned to the Alamo City, his hometown, and got to meet his childhood hero: the GOAT Tim Duncan. In Instagram posts from Mahone and Spurs shooting guard Bryn Forbes, we got a glimpse of the singer's visit with the Spurs.

On Tuesday evening, the Spurs shared a video of Mahone talking about growing up as a Spurs fan and what the team means to him.
"Me and my granddad would always go, he would take me to the games," Mahone said in the interview.

He also said that the first time he sang the national anthem at Game 1 of the 2014 Finals between the Spurs and Miami Heat.
He said he was grateful to spend some time at the Spurs' practice facility during his latest visit to San Antonio.

"Being here in the facility is an honor," Mahone said. "I got to meet my favorite player of all time, Tim Duncan."

"Shooting around with Bryn was a lot of fun," Mahone added. "He taught me some new tricks."
