Cryptoriana – The Seductiveness of Decay, released in 2017, was some special shit.

Talking to other folks at Cradle of Filth’s show in Austin earlier this year on Easter Eve of all nights, it was agreed upon by the lot of us that Cryptoriana was the best Cradle of Filth record since 2000’s Midian (my personal favorite).

Since forming in 1991, the English gothic/metal band with symphonic black metal tendencies has carved a space for themselves in an ever-growing arena of extreme-metal. It’s not a surprise that San Antonians have been big supporters of their sound and image.

The band returns to the Alamo City next spring for a show at the Aztec Theatre in continued support of their latest epic effort.

$32-$38, Mon April 15, 6pm, The Aztec Theatre, 104 N. St. Mary's St., theaztectheatre.com.
