Fans of ethereal, dark, brooding and artsy electronic/dance music are in for a real treat in the form of a fine dual bill at Limelight. The evening pairs two rad electronic acts from Austin, a city with a steadily burgeoning weird-electro scene.

Pastel Ghost comes to ATX by way of her hometown of Oakland. She describes her own music as “dream rave,” which seems a damned apt description for the whispery, gauzy, shimmering and intimate dance sound that she conjures. Check out Pastel Ghost’s music at pastelghost.bandcamp.com.

Mr. Kitty, for his part, make music with a bit darker bite. Witch house and new wave-goth vibes abound in Mr. Kitty’s music, but the heavy use of bright synths and catchy rhythms helps keeps his music infinitely danceable. Check out Mr. Kitty’s work at mrkittydm.bandcamp.com.

$10, Sat Jan. 12, 9pm, Limelight, 2718 N. St. Mary’s St., thelimelightsa.com.
