13th Floor Haunted House Auditions Start Today

If you frequently think about zombies and vampires or how you can make yourself look like you are one, you might be interested in auditioning for a role in San Antonio’s 13th Floor Haunted House.

The fall attraction, infamous for its frightening characters and scenes, is looking for 50 terrifying actors and actresses to continue the legacy of three successful seasons of horror into a fourth. 13th Floor is looking for “energetic, lively and scary” actors, actresses, and makeup artists. Candidates should arrive early and be ready to present a live “DEMONstration” to the judges.

Auditions will be held September 4, 7 and 11 from 6-7:30pm at 1203 E Commerce.

“We want energetic and lively individuals who are as passionate about Halloween as we are,” general manager of the 13th Floor Greg Salyers said.

Known for being the most dynamic, theatrical and high tech haunts in San Antonio, big things are expected of the haunted house. Last year the attraction was featured on the Travel Channel’s reality show Making Monsters and was recognized as one of the scariest haunted attractions of 2011 according to Hauntworld Magazine.

“We want our actors and actresses engage, scare, and thrill our guests from standing in line until they exit the last scene,” 13th Floor co-owner Chris Stafford said. “It is the ultimate Halloween experience.”

Opening night is scheduled for Friday, September 13.
