If you're looking to get out of the sun during the weekend, consider taking a drive to San Antonio's own Rebecca Creek distillery and see firsthand how a crown jewel of Texas makes it into that sleek bottle and eventually our eager bellies. If whiskey isn't you're thing, don't worry, they produce vodka too. You're wrong, though.

Didn't "Finding Dory" just totally reignite your curiosity about the creatures beneath the deep blue sea? Luckily you can visit our underwater friends at the always air conditioned San Antonio Aquarium whenever you want. At the aquarium, you can feed stingrays, touch an octopus and view an immense amount of exotic creatures from the deep. The aquarium also offers bird, iguana and pony exhibits for you landlubbers.

Special exhibits this summer include Mi Casa, Your Casa, Highest Heaven Spanish and Portuguese Colonial Art and the works of Carlos Merida. General admission is free to the public Tuesdays from 4-9pm and Sundays from 10am-noon.

The Alamo Drafthouse takes something as simple as an afternoon movie outing and adds a unique spin on it with their food and beverage menu and comical pre-show presentations. In addition to the summer's biggest blockbusters, the Drafthouse also offers an extensive series of throwback films, sing-alongs and quote-alongs all with their own props and party favors. As a bonus, teachers are given free matinee admission all summer. What a place!
