The Hidden Pines fire in Bastrop county is still going strong. As of this afternoon the fire has burned more than 4,200 acres and has destroyed nine homes, according to KXAN. Governor Greg Abbott has declared a state of disaster for Bastrop County. Bastrop County, Smithville, and the Red Cross have set up set up areas to donate and offer assistance. Go to bastropcountylongtermrecovery.org to offer any monetary donations. Donors can call Prosperity Bank to donate to the Smithville Ministerial Alliance or the Smithville Volunteer Fire Department at 512-237-9649. The Austin Disaster Relief Fund is also accepting donations at their website. The American Red Cross is also accepting donations on their website under disaster relief. Those who wish to donate by text can do so by texting "REDCROSS" to 90999 to send a ten dollar donation.
