Steve Howey
Shameless and Reba actor Steve Howey was born in San Antonio in 1977, but his family didn’t stick around for long. Believe it or not, but Howey actually spent most of his childhood on a boat his parents sailed up and down the Pacific Coast. Howey’s family settled down in Colorado when he was a teenager, but at least we can still claim him.

Henry Thomas
Before his breakout role as Elliott in E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, actor Henry Thomas was born in SA in 1971. Still, he kept some sense of normalcy and graduated from East Central HS and later Blinn College. Thomas eventually returned to acting, recently appearing in The Haunting of Hill House.

Michelle Rodriguez
Badass Michelle Rodriguez made her debut in San Antonio in 1978 and has been kicking ass since. She lived in Texas until she was eight years old, eventually moving to the Dominican Republic and later Puerto Rico, where he was originally from. She’s known for The Fast & the Furious and Machete franchises, as well as TV roles like Lost.

Known and adored for his roles on Gilmore Girls and Supernatural, Jared Padalecki is a proud Texas boy. He was born in the Alamo City in 1982, but left after graduating from Madison HS to pursue his career. Today, he lives in Austin.

Jonathan Joss is pretty damn San Anto, born here in 1965 as Jonathan Gonzales. Of Spanish, Comanche and White Mountain Apache descent, Joss attended McCollum High School and attended Texas State before leaving the university and finishing his studies at Our Lady of the Lake. And how is he famous? He voiced John Redcorn on King of the Hill and portrayed Chief Ken Hotate on Parks and Recreation.

Born in San Antonio in 1971, Ricardo Antonio Chavira graduated from LEE High School back when it was Robert E. Lee and later attended the University of the Incarnate Word. He eventually left the 2-1-0 and is best known as Carlos Solis on Desperate Housewives. More recently, he’s appeared in Jane the Virgin and Scandal.

She went on to adopt her stage name, build a decade-spanning career, feud with Bette Davis, and disinherit her two eldest children. Yep, Mommie Dearest is about one of San Antonio’s own.

Actor Nicholas Gonzalez made his first debut in SA in 1976. He attended Central Catholic HS, where he won two state championships as a cross-country and track runner. Gonzalez later earned his degree at Stanford, majoring in English, but was encouraged by a professor to pursue acting after appearing in a one-man theatre performance. He has a number of acting credits under his belt, but most recently The Good Doctor and Pretty Little Liars.
