5 Dogs To Swipe Right To

We present to you “The Bone-r Blog”.

In this technological age, many of us have found loving relationships through popular apps such as Tinder and OkCupid, but not everyone is satisfied. Sometimes man’s best friend still gets a case of the lonely-sads, especially when Mom and Dad are at work or if there isn't another pooch to play with. In addition to San Antonio's unusually high Lonely Dog Rate, currently, there are also thousands of dogs in San Antonio shelters who need a forever home and a good family to provide them with one. If only it was as simple for dogs to find a companion…

As human dating trends towards apps that make use of the user’s location and profiles filled with a person’s unique interests, the clubs aren’t seeing as much action. With that in mind, we created this blog to show you some canines who are interested in your love and so that, hopefully, the shelters will see less action as well.

Keep in mind, these dogs aren’t looking for a quick hook-up, but if you want to volunteer at a shelter that’d be cool too. These dogs are seeking long-term relationships in which both parties can grow together.

So here are five pooches and their Puppy Profiles that you should swipe right on—or at least follow the links to their adoption page:

I had a rough childhood growing up. I lost everyone who was close to me, so I’m ready for a fresh start. The shelter dogs are cool and all, but I’m thirsty for a meaningful relationship. Sometimes the other dogs call me Chupauahua when I wake up in the morning, but I guess that’s what makes me unique. My best friend is a fuzzy green squeaky toy, but I am now accepting applications for a new pal because it doesn’t squeak like it used to. I’m looking for a human who likes me for me, I may be a bit sassy at times (guys, I’m a Chihuahua) but I am the bestest girl you’ll ever meet.

Despite my small stature, I like big bones and I cannot lie. Don’t judge my frosted tips and large ears (I heard that!) because I’m a down to earth puppy with big dreams of finding a forever home. I fractured my pelvic bone, but I’m on the road to recovery. I need someone who can love me tender; I’m not into the ruff stuff. Happiness is a rawhide and a family away.

I have a bad rep when it comes to dating because of my breed (I’m Staffordshire terrier and proud.) But don’t judge me on what you’ve heard, because it’s not true; I’m sweeter than a new jar of peanut butter and beggin’ strips. I have a skin condition that’s getting better every day, but don’t worry, it’s not contagious! I’m a really silly boy! I love to play with others and my favorite movie is Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. Jim Carrey is my #hero! I may be a party animal, but I have a gooey side as well. I’m hopelessly romantic and corny sometimes, but above all, I do me.

I’m not a spring chicken anymore, so I’m a little new to this whole dating site thing. Despite my nervousness I’m still searching for my soul mate. The thing is I still have the rest of my life ahead of me and I can live a really, really long time. I am an eight-year-old Chihuahua, but I’m still a playful puppy on the inside. I’m a bit on the thick side, so there’s more of me to love and I’m super cuddly. My wise, warm brown eyes will keep you warm all winter long, I love long walks in the park and I get along with other dogs, so take a chance on me. This senior still has a spring in his step.

Hey, ladies! I'm what you've been looking for your whole life. I am that tall, dark and handsome guy that will lick your feet after a long day. I may seem a little on the serious side, but I'm very sensitive and loving. I love lil' dogs and cats, I'm just a very easy going kind of dude. Bring me to your pad and you'll never regret it!
