800 lb. Film Festival

Critic's Pick Release Date: 2009-05-06

They go to Sundance and SXSW like you and I went to the mall; some of them are going to be famous; and you’ll read somewhere that they’re from San Antonio, and you’ll feel a twinge of regret that you never knew them when. Catch tomorrow’s cinematic talent today, as it’s served freshly brewed by the award-winning North East School of the Arts (presented in partnership with Cinema North East). (Oh, and they know where this is all headed: T-shirts, compilation DVDs, and posters will be sold; the festival is subtitled “Prepare for Glory!; it has multiple producers and a coordinator. Take high expectations, and ask them to be met.) $3-$10, 7pm Tue, May 12, Northwest 14 Theatre, Loop 410 and IH-10, (210) 442-2510.
