Main Ave. Film: Frozen 8:00 p.m., Saturday, March 22 Slab Cinema screens the current Disney favorite Frozen, about the enduring love between two sisters and an adorable snowman. The film won two Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song ("Let It Go") and the Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film. Don't be surprised if you hear a chorus of all the little girls in attendance singing along to "Let It Go." Location: Woodlawn Lake, 1103 Cincinnati Reading: Tim Tingle, House of Purple Cedar 1-3 p.m., Saturday, March 22 Texas native Choctaw storyteller Tim Tingle visits the Twig in support of his new novel House of Purple Cedar. The book follows Rose Goode's story of her growing up in Indian Territory in pre-statehood Oklahoma. Skullyville, a once-thriving Choctaw community, was destroyed by land-grabbers, culminating in the arson on New Year's Eve, 1896, of New Hope Academy for Girls. Read our review of the book. Attend a live performance by Hyperbubble, the visual and performing arts electro pop/synthpop duo from San Antonio, Jeff DeCuir and Jess Barnett DeCuir.
