The restoration of this 1930 home that recently hit the market in San Antonio's Dignowity Hill was a labor of of love for two separate owners, according to its listing agent.

A local construction contractor purchased the house in 2017 and undertook a four-year restoration that included adding salvaged historic doors and glass knobs throughout the house and upgrading it to modern appliances.

As part of the extensive upgrades, that owner also outfitted one of the four-bedroom, four-bath home's two separate living rooms with an automatic garage door so it can be turned into an indoor-outdoor space opening to the backyard.

The next owner purchased the property last year, during the middle of the pandemic, and turned her attention on transforming it into a stay-at-home paradise. That included not just adding an in-ground pool but a covered outdoor dining area and a special retreat with a pool table and a fridge.

The home hit the market earlier this month for $735,000.

This home is listed by Patrick Vallejo with Phalanx Realty Group.
