As if this town wasn’t already sold on the merits of A Place to Bury Strangers, or really any band with an emotive, high-key dramatic, noisy, post-punk vibe, we’re here to tell you that you’ll not wanna miss this show. First of all, APTBS always puts on a worthy show, with its theatrical bent given proper room to roam and its huge wall of sound approach fully unleashed. Moreover, the band has recently released its fifth LP Pinned, a solid outing, though most would agree not its best. They’ll be playing live in SA for the first time since Le Butherettes drummer Lia Braswell joined the group on drums and backing vocals. This newness should be enticing to longtime fans who get to see a fresh incarnation of their beloved APTBS.
