Who knew that when the title character in Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland fell down that magical rabbit hole, she found it in the Lone Star State? That's what the designers of this psychedelic underground home would have us believe, anyway.

This geodesic dome home a half hour's drive from the North Texas town of Corsicana is completely submerged, and its interior is trippy enough to feel like  a visit to fantasy world. Different murals adorn each room, depicting Mediterranean scenes, Mayan pyramids and an Egyptian landscape, complete with a sphinx. And did we mention that there's a full-size mummy case in the Egyptian room?

All told, there's about 3,000 square feet of living space in this cave of dreams, including three bedrooms, two baths and three additional rooms for, well, whatever underground dwellers do. The 40-acre property is on the market for $2.25 million.

This home is listed by Terri Alexander with Re/Max Landmark.
