Live Music

America

When: Sat., July 2, 8 p.m. 2016

Sponsored by one-time oldies station KONO 101.1 FM (which has now gravitated towards music from the ’70s and ’80s, begging the question, “What exactly is an oldie?”), America, the longhaired feel- good group behind such hits as “A Horse With No Name,” “Ventura Highway” and “Sister Golden Hair” will be bringing their peaceful, easy feeling to the Tobin Center on Saturday. In celebration of 45 years together, the band is scheduled to provide a night chocked full of alligator lizards, falling stars, golden hair surprises and nameless ponies. And only two days before the birth of the country that shares their name!

Price: $34.50-$100
