Are you ready to be the next American Idol? With open call auditions just around the corner, San Antonians can see if they've got the stuff.

Ryan Seacrest, host of this classic singing competition, tweeted on Monday there would be four new cities holding auditions: Fargo and Rapid City in North Dakota, as well as Houston and—you guessed it, San Antonio.

Officially, open call auditions will take place on Sept. 4 in the city. Although exact location details haven't been released yet, you can register for tryouts on American Idol's website, and check out the rules to follow for audition day.

So if you want to be San Antonio's next Kelly Clarkson or Clay Aiken, get ready to compete alongside some of 210's best musicians.

American Idol will be premiering on ABC this upcoming fall.
