It’s shill week, sorta, but a good kinda shill ... that rhymes with chill, as in cold drinks and hot art (you’ll find the the hot art part `Red Dot` on page 23). Cold drinks, made with that Siberian-associated, freezer-friendly nectar can be found at Very Vodka, Friday evening, 7-11 p.m., at the Southwest School of Art & Craft. For the second year in a row, Southwest School’s shady green grounds and (deconsecrated) Gothic chapel will host live jazz and inspired turntabling by JJ Lopez, food by a clutch of popular local eateries such as Texas Farm to Table and Bravo!, Cigar Club stogie pushers, and multiple bars serving Grey Goose cocktails. (Rumor: Some folks were nicknaming last year’s event Very Vomit by evening’s end. Mind your imbibing limits, people; your mother is not in attendance. Or if she is, she’s having her own fun.) Tickets are $25 in advance via, or at the Current’s offices (1500 N. St. Mary’s), or $30 at the door.

If that Very Vomit reference scared you, scroll through pics from last year’s event at (just click on the Very Vodka button on the home page) — you’ll see it’s a classy crowd.
