Remember when asshat Adam Carolla – who has yet to tell a joke that inspires anything beyond a changing of the channel – said "dudes are funnier than chicks?" Well, Amy Schumer (who recently sold out Madison Square Garden), along with many other femme fatales of funny, have been easily proving the "comedian" wrong since he made the statement in 2012.
Schumer, who recently announced her 50-plus city world tour from a sold out performance at the NYC stadium, will perform at the AT&T Center on Thursday, November 17. Tickets for the event are priced from $51 to $110, will go on sale Tuesday, June 28 at 8 a.m. and will be available here or here. For those who just can't wait until Tuesday, you can use the code "amylive" to activate the pre-sale, running from Friday, June 24 to Monday, June 27 at 10 p.m.
Since her national debut on the fourth season of Last Comic Standing, things have been coming up rosebuds for the comedienne. Her Comedy Central series Inside Amy Schumer has been nominated for five Primetime Emmy Awards and Schumer, herself, has netted a US Writers Guild Award, Critic's Choice Award and a Peabody, the prestigious accolade given for content and quality rather than popularity or commercial success.
Schumer, whose raunchy brand of comedy and girl-next-door swagger (re: she's a blond white girl that talks about pussy juice, jizz and ass-play) has skyrocketed to the top of the comedy stratosphere, putting her in a realm of hilariousness and household recognition that includes Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Amy Sedaris, Sarah Silverman, Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson, to name but a few. She's also making that Bud Light money now, so you know she's gotta show San Antonio, aka the City of (Bud) Lights, some serious love.
As one of the hottest comedians tackling the clusterfuck of ridiculousness that is the modern age, Schumer is sure to have plenty to say about the Donald, celebrity culture, body image, the Kardashians, semen, the Clintons, plastic surgery, stalking Bradley Cooper, semen, pop stars, semen and her vagina. In celebration of her performance, and as a rebuttal to Carolla, whose comedy peaked with puppets crank calling strangers, here's a couple of Schumer's greatest hits.
Amy discusses her pussy obsession as a "real housewife:"
Amy getting real on female role models, i.e. not the Kardashians:
How about Amy on her slutty friend? Not unlike any of our slutty friends:
