Annual International Woman's Day March and Rally

Release Date: 2008-03-05

It’s time again for women to stand up and assert their rights. This year’s event pays tribute to Emma Tenayuca, who led more than 10,000 women in a march for better working conditions and wages in 1938. The march begins at Travis Park and ends at Milam Park (500 W. Commerce) where a 10:30 a.m. rally includes speakers, performers, artists, live music, food, and drinks. Free, 9am, Travis Park, 711 Navarro Street, (210) 228-0201.
