Anything for Selenas: Screening of Selena Set for San Antonio Museum of Art

Even 20+ years after her death (RIP Queen), Selena Quintanilla Perez still holds a piece of San Antonio's heart. That's why the San Antonio Museum of Art will hold a screening of the classic, yet tragic 1995 film following the life and death of the late Tejano star.

Partnering with Slab Cinema, the movie will be shown on a giant inflatable screen in order to accommodate the masses of people that will undoubtedly show up for the event in the West Courtyard of the grounds.

As if you needed any more reason to show up, the screening will be free. So slap on some lipstick from Selena's MAC collection (if you were so lucky to get your hands on a tube) or style your hair into a curly ponytail a la Chris Perez, and be sure to bring plenty of tissues.

Friday, October 27, 7-9 p.m., 200 West Jones Ave., (210) 978-8100, samuseum.org.
