REM Gallery is hoisting itself out of its current nest at 1420 S. Alamo, and scooting over to 209 E. Park, in the Tobin Hill district. It’ll be closed for the rest of June, but will re-open just in time for the very last July-edition Contemporary Art Month with a painting show by talented earth-mother interpreter Margaret Craig. for details.

What?! Moving from Southtown? Could it be that San Anto’s art nucleus is decentralizing? What the hell’s next? A gallery in Stone Oak? (Ha, we kid. David Shelton Gallery’s been out yonder for close to a month now, and you should go check it out.

Oh, and you did already know that Contempory Art Month is moving to March, right? Under the new interim leadership team of Andy “S.M.A.R.T Fair” Benavides, Jason Jay “Potter-Belmar Labs” Stevens, Leslie “UTSA New Media” Raymond, Michele “Three Walls” Monseau, and Ben “Emvergeoning” Judson, CAM will be a springtime daisy chain in ’10, with Luminaria as its biggest bloom. But we’ve got one more hot one to celebrate, y’all, so check your Current for a complete calendar, reviews, and previews, beginning June 24.
