A two-week exhibit of memorabilia and artifacts commemorating the lives of San Antonio’s early East Side African-American community is the largest exhibition of its kind to date. 7:45 a.m.-4:30 p.m., through November 30, Carver Community Cultural Center gallery, 226 N. Mercado de Paz, the Esperanza Peace & Justice Center’s annual open-air peace market featuring handmade arts and crafts features more than 80 artists, including displaced New Orleans artisans. Food, drink, and hourly raffles keep the pace festive and fun for the entire family. Proceeds benefit the Esperanza’s programming. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday-Saturday, 922 San Pedro.
