Born in 1975, living in San Antonio since 2015 and currently an MFA candidate at UTSA, Gaudy has drawn from the guilt she associates with her homeland to create conceptual works that explore human behavior and challenge the very concept of war. Often transforming the organic nature of clay in pointed arrangements addressing global conflicts and the plight of war refugees, her work takes center stage in “Of Bombs and Men,” a thesis exhibition addressing “humankind’s distinct potentials: creation and destruction.”
