Brian Wilson, beloved Beach Boys mastermind (especially when The Beach Boys actually got good) and solo artist, will come to town with a talented crew of musicians and singers to offer up a special dose of holiday cheer.

For this rare show, Wilson and company, including longtime bandmates Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin, will present the 1964 Beach Boys holiday classic The Beach Boys’ Christmas Album in full — along with fan favorites and assorted seasonal staples. With his natural knack for inventively plumbing the warm depths of harmony, and the silly side that was on clear display in those cringe-worthy early Beach Boys records, Wilson is the ideal American icon for stirring, even in the most Grinch-like among us, those joyful yuletide feels.

Whether you have treasured the Beach Boys’ Christmas music for decades or are a total newcomer, this chance to catch the whole thing live is not to be missed.

$54.50-$509, Mon Dec. 17, 7:30pm, Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, 100 Auditorium Circle, tobincenter.org.
