Best Comic Book Shop

WINNER: Heroes and Fantasies

Multiple locations

If DC made Batman vs. Superman vs. Heroes and Fantasies, the local comic book store would likely come out the winner. Next year, the privately owned retailer, which was founded by Rich Conley, will celebrate its 30th anniversary in San Antonio. Along with selling an assortment of products, including action figures, movie posters, games, collectibles and, of course, comic books as far as the eye can see, H&F hosts a series of special events at their two locations at Pat Booker Road and NW Loop 410 (near Summit Parkway). Join them on May 7 for Free Comic Book Day and meet superhero cosplayers, win prizes and check out some exclusive art. If gaming tournaments are your thing, H&F has you covered with competitions ranging from topics such as Dragon Ball Z to Dungeons and Dragons to Pokémon. Visit their website for weekly comic reviews written by intergalactic super nerds.
