One person is dead and 12 more are injured after a generator exploded at a construction site at Coryell Hospital in Gatesville, 36 miles outside of Waco.

The incident was reported around 2:30 pm Tuesday afternoon. In a press conference, officials confirmed that all the victims were construction workers in the midst of developing a section of the hospital. Patients were being evacuated following the incident.

The identity of the man that was killed, Michael Bruggman, was revealed Wednesday morning.

South Texas Blood and Tissue Center is working to send blood transfusions to help the 12 injured, who were transferred to Baylor Scott and White Hospital for treatment.

While your blood might not go directly toward the victims, the organization says they are always looking for donations to help save the lives of people in need. To set up an appointment, call (210) 731-5590.
