Bogus Survey Says San Antonio Isn't Romantic, We Call Bullshit

Dear John Instacart,

Thanks for sending along your "2018 Instacart Romance Index" results. I'm sure you spent a long time analyzing all the data and feeling smug about landing on "universally romantic" terms to search. The "results" were based on 190 markets Instacart operated in last year and "focused on the strongest relative rise in customer interest in the week of Valentine’s Day for our designated search terms."

Psh.

And while we might see why Valentine's Day could mean users are looking for "flowers," "strawberries," "candy," "champagne," in other cities, San Antonians were likely searching for true displays of love, i.e. "tacos" or "riverwalk" or "lube" or "steak" because this is still Texas after all.

Here's the rest of the cities you billed as "(Un)Romantic." Take it with a grain of salt.

1. Indianapolis
2. Raleigh
3. Orlando
4. Seattle
5. Denver
6. San Diego
7. San Antonio
8. Houston
