Brotherhood CD Release with Lonestar Driveby, Under Nothing, My City Underwater, Immortal Guardian, & Top Dead Center

Critic's Pick Release Date: 2010-10-13

San Antonio metalheads Brotherhood are releasing their first album since replacing their lead singer this summer. Actually, the former singer was already the only remaining member of the band, so the group truly does have “new everything” as it succinctly proclaims on its MySpace page. While the songs off the new EP are thrashier and more angular than previous efforts, they retain the same intensity the original band debuted in 2005. Never ones to go half-assed, Brotherhood has not one, not two, but five supporting acts by way of local groups Lonestar Driveby, Under Nothing, My City Underwater, Immortal Guardian, and Top Dead Center. Their newest album The Struggle, which has the most disturbing cover art I’ve seen in a while, also goes on sale on iTunes and Big Cartel on Saturday for those who like to headbang in the privacy of their own homes. Everyone else can mosh together on North St. Mary’s. $10, 7pm, Sat Oct 16, The White Rabbit, 2410 N St Mary’s, (210) 737-2221,
