Buc-ee's Holds Record for World's Longest Car Wash

The Buc-ee's in Katy is not only one of the newest locations from Texas' favorite convenience store, but is also home to the world's longest car wash.

Guinness World Records announced the random, but interesting recognition on Thursday. As odd as it sounds, the record is pretty cool when you break down the facts.

The car wash is 255 feet long, which is impressive enough on its own, but it gets better. Inside, there's 25 foam brushes and 17 blowers to get the wash just right for up to 16 cars at a time, and in only 5 minutes. Talk about squeaky clean.

In honor of the odd recognition, free car washes were offered for most of the day. Because Texans love all things Buc-ee's and everything free, some people waited up to an hour.

And get this: the Katy convenience store itself is 56,000 square feet, but it's not even the biggest Buc-ee's. That's the New Braunfels location, which is a whopping 68,000 square feet, making it the largest convenience store in the world.

Go big or go home, right? This is Texas after all.
