Celebrate new fall breezes by diving through them

Feel the wind flowing through your hair and the troposphere blowing through your teeth while leaping from 13,000 feet. While skydiving solo takes weeks of orientation and training, and can break the bank with fees reaching $2,000, Sky Dive San Marcos, located off of I-35 in Fentress, offers tandem skydiving for a more affordable price. If possible, take comfort in being harnessed to a licensed instructor as you hurtle toward hard, flat ground.

Encounter the curvature of the earth after flying 20 minutes to your altitude and bounding out of the plane's cabin for a free fall lasting 60 seconds, then sail through the air with a deployed parachute for up to 5 minutes. Prospective divers are encouraged to wear athletic footwear and loose-fitting clothing. Reservations should be made at least 24 hours in advance.
