About the designer: Australian fashion designer Linda Ellis, creator of the Almond Tree label of unique designs and color palettes inspired by the Western Australian land, sea and sky scapes. Her affection for the land of the Pilbara desert and the cerulean ocean of Broome finds form in her signature hand painted silk fabrics in rich textured and colorful prints.

Linda Ellis's love of fashion took root in 1975 during a trip throughout Australia with her parents following a devastating flood on the family's farm. She went on to study fashion at Swan Tafe in Perth, and drew further inspiration from her time working in the almond tree groves on a California farm. Subsequent and diverse experiences in geology, sheep shearing, ranching and farming enriched her life's vision and sharpened her creative focus.

Since the launch of her Almond Tree label, Linda Ellis has passionately worked on her popular resort and women's wear collections. The talented designer has a sincere desire to see women return to the truth in themselves as women, expressed through what they wear. Caftans give women of any age and size the opportunity to be truly feminine.

The Almond Tree label has attracted major press reviews and attention in the local Australian media through her participation in Sydney Fashion Exposed 2008, held at the Sydney Convention Centre, Sydney. She is now poised to make her mark on the demanding global fashion market. Almond Tree sells through selected retail outlets Australia wide and online.
